Janské Lázně Cabin Cable Car – Černohorský express (Year-Round)
The original aerial cableway from Janské Lázně to Černá hora began operation as early as 1928. The current cable car, 2300 m long, features eight-seater cabins, and during the summer season, mountain bikes and scooters can be transported free of charge. The top station serves as the starting point for numerous ridge hikes.
Operating in both winter and summer seasons, the cable car overcomes an elevation difference of 566 m. It transports visitors from the lower station in Janské Lázně at an altitude of 694 m above sea level to the upper station on Černá hora at an altitude of 1260 m above sea level in approximately 7.5 minutes. At the summit of Černá hora, you’ll find the Panorama observation tower.
For tourists, the cable car provides convenient access to marked trails leading to Liščí hora or Pec pod Sněžkou. You’ll also find the Černohorská rašeliniště educational trail here.
For cyclists, there are opportunities for long descents into Janské Lázně, Černý Důl, or Lánov, as well as the 1st Krkonoše cycling educational trail.
